Willie Creek Pearl Farm is the only pearl farm in the Kimberley region open to the general public. Willie Creek provides regular tours that give an intricate insight into today’s cultured pearling industry. Visitors can join the pearl farm tour by coach from Broome or can drive themselves to the pearl farm, 38kms from the township.
The pearl farm has its own pearling showroom which was renovated to world-class standard in 2006. Considered WA’s most remote pearling showroom it has a stunning array of jewellery which feature Australian South Sea Pearls, direct from the producers. Whilst Willie Creek specialises in producing fine Australian pearl jewellery the range also includes other beautiful collections including Freshwater Pearls from China and Japan, the black Tahitian Pearl and the classic mabé or half-pearl range.
Willie Creek Pearls also has two showrooms in Broome (Cable Beach and Chinatown), a showroom in Perth at the Hillarys Boat Harbour and in 2007 opened its fifth retail store in Swanston Street, Melbourne. For more information contact 08 9192 0000.
